Is car parking free?

Parking within the Main Car Park is free of charge. For those who wish to park on the rails, parking is available in this area on every raceday. The on-the-day cost to park is £6 per car (£8 on feature days) plus a Grandstand ticket for each occupant (purchased separately).

Am I allowed to bring my dog with me on a raceday?

Dogs are only permitted in the Course Enclosure if they are on leads.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code at Wincanton. As we race largely during the winter months, the weather can be unpredictable, so we would advise you to dress accordingly. Fancy dress is permitted as long as the outfit is not offensive and we reserve the right to decline entry should the need arise.

Is there a cash machine on site?

Yes, there is a cash machine situated adjacent to the racecourse reception, although please note that this is only available on racedays.

Is there disabled access and viewing at the Racecourse?

There is a specially designated external elevated viewing platform in the Premier Enclosure overlooking the winning post. All restaurants and hospitality boxes have lift access. There is an area reserved for wheelchairs in our Hatherleigh Viewing Area in the Premier Enclosure. Raised external viewing area in the Grandstand Enclosure.

Can I bring a picnic?

Picnics are permitted in the Course Enclosure only.

Do you cater for special diets?

Yes, in all our private hospitality suites and restaurants, we are more than happy to cater for any dietary requirements, provided that we are given sufficient notice.

If you were to abandon a raceday for which I had bought tickets in advance, would I be able to get a refund?

In the event of racing being abandoned before the conclusion of the first race, racegoers will recieve a full refund. If racing is abandoned between the first and third races, 50% will be refunded. Thereafter no refunds will be made.

Do children need tickets?

Under 18's gain FREE entry to the racecourse for all fixtures.

Please note children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, with a maximum of two children per adult. Should you visit to bring more than two children per adult please contact the racecourse. 

When do bars close after racing what time does the site close after racing?

After each raceday, all bars will close 30 minutes after the last race. 

Are there taxi ranks available after racing?

Yes, there are taxi's available after a raceday, however we advise you pre-book one in advance. 

Does Wincanton Racecourse have free Wifi?

Yes, all Jockey Club Venues offer free Wi-Fi.

What enclosure at Wincanton Racecourse can you see the Parade Ring?

Both Grandstand and Premier enclosures have access to parade ring viewing, this excludes course enclosure,
